Homicide detective Theo Petrakos has seen a lot of thing over the years but a mummified corpse has him stumped.  Sure he has seen one before but this one has only been dead a few hours, which is impossible.  While searching the crime scene a futuristic looking laptop is found.  With no-one around to take a look at the equipment and the Christmas holidays about to start Theo takes the evidence home for safe keeping.

In steps sexy and suave Guardian Force zombie hunter Jorie Mikkalah.  The mummified corpse was a friend of hers and she needs the laptop back.  However getting the computer back isn’t too easy.  The transport devices and language on this planet are not what Jorie is used to and there is only really time to learn the basics when you have zombies on your tail.

Suddenly Theo finds himself fighting along side a stranger against an unknown enemy.  With the enemy defeated Theo is left with no time to process the attack because finds himself transported onto a spaceship.  Kidnapped by Jorie he tries all the bargaining he can to get himself back on solid ground.  Talking to the Alien who took him away from Earth learns the horrible truth about the imminent zombie invasion on his home planet.

Jorie manages to get Theo assigned as her unofficial partner and they head back down to Earth to get rid of the zombie scum.   Neither of them are too happy with the arrangement but Jorie has to make sure she stops the invasion so she can finally get the promotion she has been working towards.  Theo on the other hand doesn’t have much choice or he will end up being deported to another planet.

Problems keep coming and the action keeps them going.  Trying to make sure no-one finds out who Jorie is hard.  So Theo tells his friends and family she is a new ‘friend’.  This puts them both into an interesting position making their time together get a little steamy.  In the end saving this planet isn’t going to be their only problem.   Can they save the planet and each other?

In this newest novel from RITA Award winning author Linnea Sinclair we get pulled into an intergalactic action adventure.  Sinclair manages to make the reader believe that Aliens and Zombie’s could just be in
Florida hiding and moving around among the inhabitants.  The Zombie’s don’t make an impressive appearance in this one but they make their presence known.  More Sci-fi than Paranormal don’t let the cool title trick you.

The author’s use of futuristic technology terms really makes this a Sci-fi filled romance novel for geeks and anyone who loves a good steamy love affair.  I could really picture this as a full length movie blockbuster.  With some nice quirky lines, an interesting collection of characters and a Christmas backdrop this is something nice to curl up with in the upcoming winter months.
