Beautifully painted illustrations and a delightful story fill the pages of “The Magic In You!” that was not only written by Sally H. Taylor but illustrated as well.

This 40-page book is a children’s book that adults will also enjoy. It provides a message that everyone is wonderful in their own special ways so loving ourselves will help lead to happiness. The words on the back cover give more detail to the book’s message, “Unless we learn to love ourselves we will become slaves to the opinions and judgments that others have of us. A healthy self-image, on the other hand, will bring peace to our souls during life’s most difficult struggles.”

The writer promotes her first publication explaining, “The book is about a little flower who gets pushed from her comfort zone. Although her circumstances are less than ideal, she learns that she has the power to influence other living creatures around her through kindness, love and, most of all, forgiveness.”

Since this book features, a flower as the star character and includes a fairy it may be thought to be geared toward girls. However, when this book was read to a 3-year-old boy he enjoyed it as well. The inspirational story and amazing illustrations kept his attention from start to finish. When the story ended, he recalled a good amount of what happened. His favorite part was when the flower gets hurt by the Billy Goat and in the end the flower overcomes everything to show kindness to the Billy Goat and they become friends. He said that was nice – a nice message and a nice story. It is a story for everyone.

The little flower becomes truly happy, “because she was free to feel whole again as if she had never been damaged or broken at all!” She found her inter strength and found “the marvelous power of love and forgiveness within her, could make her beautiful and everyone else would see it, too.”

The message everyone should remember at the end of this story is, “Within every wildflower a rose is waiting to bloom!”

“The Magic In You!” is from Outskirts Press. Also, she just released her second book, “The Most Valuable Treasure,” which she explained features “a small village of people who go out of their way to care for each other. They also go out of their way to avoid one rickety old house on the outskirts of the village. Rumors of witches and goblins have kept the villagers at a distance for years. As the story unfolds, however, the villagers learn than things are not always, as they appear, and perhaps they could have been a little more gracious than they thought themselves to be.
